In the book of Joel 2:28 it is said “…I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…” although many misunderstand this to be all people, it is evident from the context of Joel chapter 2 the Most High was referring to Israel for in verse 27 it says, “And ye shall know that I [am] in the midst of Israel, and [that] I [am] Yahuah your Elohim, and none else: and my peopleshall never be ashamed.” Yah says He is in the midst of Israel (not the other nations) and makes it clear that His people (not all) will never be ashamed. Then in verse 28 it says “your sons and your daughters” referring to the descendants of Israel will be the recipients of this out pouring of the Spirit.(Ruach) We understand this outpouring is not referring to an emotional release we often see within the modern day churches but instead it is an outpouring of Knowledge and Truth, the awakening of the lost tribes of Israel and our return to the Covenant.
Now many believe the Old Testament is done away with but in past writings we have seen this to be false hence the outpouring of Knowledge and Truth. The truth is Israel is still under the Commands Moses gave for Christ is our “new” Moses. Like Moses delivered the Covenant to our ancestors so Christ has delivered the Covenant to us. Let’s prove this quickly.
Deu 18:18 KJV - 18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
The Most High told Moses thousands of years ago He would raise up another like him and we find Christ was this prophet based upon His own testimony as well as His disciples, let’s look at it.
Jhn 5:46-47 KJV - 46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. 47 But if ye believe not his writings, how shall ye believe my words?
Here we can clearly see our Messiah made Himself not only equal with Moses but much more, He equated Himself with the LAWS Moses wrote and delivered unto our ancestors. The same LAWS we violated causing us to go into slavery after slavery, yes the same LAWS the modern day church pushes we no longer are to obey. Critical thinking time, ask yourself if breaking the commands caused Israel to go into multiple slaveries, how can continually breaking them cause us to come out of our current captivity or slavery. So someone will make the argument that Christ did away with the LAW because no one could keep it. Well two things to consider.
Why would a just Creator make a covenant knowing full well no one could keep it? Is it we couldn’t keep it or we would not keep it? There’s a huge difference. Also consider,
Job 1:1 KJV - 1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name [was] Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.
Luk 1:5-6 KJV - 5 There was in the days of Herod, the king of Judaea, a certain priest named Zacharias, of the course of Abia: and his wife [was] of the daughters of Aaron, and her name [was] Elisabeth. 6 And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.
Out of all the various writers why is only Paul supposedly saying the LAW is done away with? Lets consider his testimony concerning the LAW and Prophets
Act 24:13-14 KJV - 13 Neither can they prove the things whereof they now accuse me. 14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the Elohim of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law and in the prophets:
Act 26:22 KJV - 22 Having therefore obtained help of Yahuah, I continue unto this day, witnessing both to small and great, saying none other things than those which the prophets and Mosesdid say should come:
So without going more in depth, let’s move into the actual application for those of us accepting our duty of obedience. According to Hebrews chapters 7-10 it is the law of sacrifice that our Messiah fulfilled for you cannot fulfill “Thou shall not murder. Thou shall not commit adultery.”…
In Exodus 20:2-17 and Deut.5:6-21 we find the Ten Commandments given to Moses for the children of Israel. This is not all the commands, (closer to 613 commands) but the Ten Commandments represent all the commands Yah gave.
Let’s look at how one command actually extends out and covers other areas. The first commandment is, “Thou shalt nave no other gods before me.” Now this command can be found connected to what we call today Christmas. Let’s look at a precept which unpacks having no other gods…
Jer 10:2-7 KJV - 2 Thus saith Yahuah, learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. 3 For the customs of the people [are] vain: for [one] cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. 4 They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. 5 They [are] upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not afraid of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also [is it] in them to do good. 6 Forasmuch as [there is] none like unto thee, O Yahuah; thou [art] great, and thy name [is] great in might. 7 Who would not fear thee, O King of nations? for to thee doth it appertain: forasmuch as among all the wise [men] of the nations, and in all their kingdoms, [there is] none like unto thee.
Here the text perfectly explains the Christmas ritual, Yah, said plainly learn not the ways of the heathen... This is putting their ways or maybe I should say mixing their ways into His way and calling it holy which is not right.
Another example: “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” All forms of sexual perversion fall under this command, everything from masturbation to bestiality. The Most High created sex to be originally between one man and one woman. Through the process of time this became perverted because of the hardness of hearts. I know some push the doctrine of polygamy and they use people like David, Solomon, Abraham and others to support false teaching. But, first notice in Genesis it was Adam and Eve, one man for one woman. I believe Genesis chapter 6 shows fornication and interracial relationships opposed to the one man and one woman. Let’s look at it:
Gen 6:1-7 KJV - 1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of Elohim saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And Yahuah said, My Ruach shall not always strive with man, for that he also [is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of Elohim came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare [children] to them, the same [became] mighty men which [were] of old, men of renown. 5 And Yahuah saw that the wickedness of man [was] great in the earth, and [that] every imagination of the thoughts of his heart [was] only evil continually. 6 And it repented Yahuah that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And Yahuah said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them.
Notice, the sons of Elohim which according to scripture is referring to the chosen seed or chosen nation.
Wisdom of Solomon 18:13 For whereas they would not believe anything by reason of the enchantments; upon the destruction of the firstborn, they acknowledged this people to be the sons of Elohim.
So, in Genesis 6 the sons of Elohimare not referring to angels, but the chosen seed seeing the daughters of men (other nation’s women) and intermixing with them which caused Yah to become angry. We know racial mixing was a violation of the commands for Ezra addresses this issue.
Ezr 9:1-3 KJV - 1 Now when these things were done, the princes came to me, saying, The people of Israel, and the priests, and the Levites, have not separated themselves from the people of the lands, [doing] according to their abominations, [even] of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Jebusites, the Ammonites, the Moabites, the Egyptians, and the Amorites. 2 For they have taken of their daughters for themselves, and for their sons: so that the holy seed have mingled themselves with the people of [those] lands: yea, the hand of the princes and rulers hath been chief in this trespass. 3 And when I heard this thing, I rent my garment and my mantle, and plucked off the hair of my head and of my beard, and sat down astonied.
This was such a big deal that Ezra, rents his clothing and rips the hair from his beard. So, back to the original covenant, the Most High will for us is to be with one person of opposite gender, and that one person must come from among our own tribe of nation. All this fall under “Thou shalt not commit adultery.” The Messiah helps us to understand even though in past times rich men like David, Solomon, and Abram had more than one woman at a time, it was not a part of the original covenant, let’s read.
Mar 10:5-12 KJV - 5 And Jesus answered and said unto them, For the hardness of your heart he wrote you this precept. 6 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. 7 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; 8 And they twain shall be one flesh: so then they are no more twain, but one flesh. 9 What therefore Yahuah hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 10 And in the house his disciples asked him again of the same [matter]. 11 And he saith unto them, Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her. 12 And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she committeth adultery.
You see it, it was a rebellious heart that brought forth divorce, don’t miss the power of verse 6, “But from the beginning of creation…” meaning originally there was one male and one female and vs. 8 …”twain shall be one flesh…” This is what is commanded and yes we are obligated to live by these values. This is a command we must keep in order to ensure our place in the coming kingdom.
Gal 5:19-21 KJV - 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told [you] in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
If you are fornicating, committing adultery, or any such thing you will not inherit the kingdom. I know many of my brothers and especially my sisters have “relationship goals, but Moses gives a very detailed explanation of our relationship goals in Leviticus 18. He covers things like sleeping with your parents, children, uncles and aunts, in-laws and yes, even in verse 18 he covers threesomes. All of these commands are easily kept if Israel would forsake the ways of the gentiles and return to our covenant.
Let’s look at another command, “Thou shalt not covet…” a sin that is entrapping Israelites at a high level today cause “We bout that paper…” We are not to look at others and want what they have. For example, many of our people only want certain brands, looks, or styles because they see the rich and famous modeling it before them. Ex. If certain personalities like Rhianna, Cardi B, Oprah, Cam Newton, or 21 Savage recommend or wear certain items or rock specific styles that’s what we become drawn to. But it’s not just the secular world, even in the so-called spiritual arena you have people like T.D. Jakes, Joel Osteen, Joyce Meyers etc that say and do things completely against scripture and it becomes ok. Notice what Messiah says…
Luke 12:13-23 KJV - 13 And one of the company said unto him, Master, speak to my brother, that he divide the inheritancewith me. 14 And he said unto him, Man, who made me a judge or a divider over you? 15 And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's lifeconsisteth not in the abundance of the thingswhich he possesseth. 16 And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: 17 And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? 18 And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods. 19 And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, [and] be merry. 20 But Yahuahsaid unto him, [Thou] fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? 21 So [is] he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward Yahuah. 22 And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. 23 The life is more than meat, and the body [is more] than raiment.
You see, the same attitude of the brother is in many of us today, we are so concerned with the riches of the world, so consumed with our “blessing” and yet are not storing up treasures in the kingdom that is to come. When his soul was required of him, he was not prepared because he had spent his life breaking the covenant verses living it. Wanting money, fame, the image, equals to sinfully abusing yourself.
Mat 16:25-28 KJV - 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul? 27 For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works. 28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
It’s sinful to gain riches by breaking the commands or by coveting what someone else has accomplished. Remember, we are going to be judged according to our works. So, we must ask, what are the works of Yah?
Psa 78:7 KJV - 7 That they might set their hope in Yahuah, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:
Psa 111:7 KJV - 7 The works of his hands [are] verity and judgment; all his commandments [are] sure.
The Bible makes clear the extreme importance for Israel, to keep the Covenant, but what about the change. We are not in our land to make the laws or rather apply our own laws. In other words, since we are currently in captivity we as a nation are not in control of establishing the laws of the land. One example, is found in Leviticus chapter 15. If a man or woman has an issue or bodily discharge everything they touch becomes unclean. Therefore, if you touch something after them (scripture gives a saddle as one example) then you also become unclean. Think if you are at work and someone with an “issue” uses a tool and you come behind them unaware and use the same tool you just became unclean. Being in this land makes it impossible for us to even know if someone has any issues which would make us unclean. In fact, there are privacy laws which protect a person from having to disclose certain medical issues. But nevertheless, according to scripture Israelites run the risk of violating this commandment. But if we were still in our own land, following our own laws, we could implement a “stay home policy” which would keep everyone safe as well as keep Israel from violating this command. Remember, the woman with the issue of blood?
Luk 8:43-48 KJV - 43 And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44 Came behind [him], and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. 45 And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press [thee], and sayest thou, Who touched me? 46 And Yahusha said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. 47 And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him, and how she was healed immediately. 48 And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Why in verse 47 was she “trembling”? Because she knew she technically was violating the law by touching Messiah and everyone else whom she passed in the crowd to get to Him.
Another good example is the Passover celebration. All Israelite men had to appear before our Creator three times a year and one of which was the Passover celebration.
Deu 16:16 KJV - 16 Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before Yahuahthy Elohim in the place which he shall choose; in the feast of unleavened bread, and in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles: and they shall not appear before Yahuahempty:
Notice it says “in the place which he shall choose…” so what part of the earth has our Creator choose? Lets see…
Gen 15:18 KJV - 18 In the same day Yahuahmade a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:
The chosen land is not the small strip (see below figure A.) but rather from the Euphrates river all the way to the Nile river. I know many Israelites teach you can keep the Passover anywhere because Moses and our ancestors kept it in the wilderness, but notice the map below (figure B.), the wilderness includes the promised land Yah has chosen.
By no means am I suggesting that we not keep the Passover or other feast, but we must keep in mind 2 things.
We are in captivity because Yah has placed us on punishment (timeout) until He returns us to our own land. It’s hard to celebrate when you are on punishment. More importantly you cannot have or expect the benefits of the Covenant while in captivity.
We had to return to the promised land to celebrate feast of unleavened bread, the feast of weeks, and the feast of tabernacles, how can we accurately celebrate these feast without being in our land?
Again, I am not knocking or suggesting we not partake, but how do we do it with accuracywithout the land of promise. How can you bake a cake without sugar? You’re baking bread, but not cake. Another thing I think we have to consider is the words of our Messiah.
Luke 22:15-18 KJV - 15 And he said unto them, With desire I have desired to eat this passoverwith you before I suffer: 16 For I say unto you, I will not any more eat thereof, until it be fulfilled in the kingdom of Yahuah.17 And he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, Take this, and divide [it] among yourselves: 18 For I say unto you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine, until the kingdom of Yahuahshall come.
What our Messiah says here, even He will not partake in the Passover until the Kingdom comes. Someone may say that these feast are to be kept forever right?
Exo 12:14 KJV - 14 And this day shall be unto you for a memorial; and ye shall keep it a feast to Yahuah throughout your generations; ye shall keep it a feast by an ordinance forever.
I would suggest forever does not always mean consistent. Ex, I will always love my children, that is forever but when they disobey my rules, commands, etc they are punished and will not receive the best I have to offer. The love is forever but the benefits are not. Even the Prophet Ezekiel tells us that all things will be reestablished in the kingdom that is to come.
So, what parts of the LAW should we focus on keeping, simply stated everything we are commanded! Everything that is left outside of what is impossible to keep, focuses on the circumcision of Israel’s heart. It’s not impossible to put a fringe and border of blue on your garments. It’s not impossible to keep the dietary Laws. It’s not hard to tell the truth, be grateful for what you have verses desiring what your neighbor has. It’s not hard to marry among your own tribe, your nation of people. No one forces you to marry a gentile.
Rev 14:12 KJV - 12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of Yahuah, and the faith of Yahusha.
Rev 22:12-14 KJV - 12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be. 13 I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last. 14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
